Gnostic Rebellion are an audio/visual Esoteric Electronic duo comprising of Andrew Sloan (rhythm and beats) and Andrew Shackleton (melody, texture and visuals), based in Frome, Somerset, UK. Hardware synthesisers, sequencers and sample based sound modules are used.

This EP follows the self-titled debut album from 2023. It is available from the shop.

Cosmism weaves dense psychedelic electronica with vocal samples, drawing a line from the invention of the nuclear bomb and humanity’s capacity for self-destruction to the desire to populate other planets. It connects the 1950s and 1960s counterculture as a response to that threat, the acceleration of technology and its tie to transhumanism, and the return of those ideas in Cosmism: survival, escape from Earth, and a form of immortality.

Contains vocal samples from key luminaries across time and space including Robert Oppenheimer, Carl Sagan, William S. Burroughs, Elon Musk and a final response from Terrence McKenna.
